Organization Summary:
CaringBridge is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization offering free personalized websites to those wishing to stay in touch with family and friends during significant life events. Our mission is to bring together a global community of care powered by the love of family and friends in an easy, accessible and private way.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Interactive Marketing Manager to plan, implement and manage the development and delivery of marketing and communications programs across the organization to include the key functions: Brand Management, Advertising, Public Relations,
collateral materials and presentation, special events and trade shows.
- Manages the design and production of marketing collateral and their conversion to online resources: Corporate identity, literature, promotional items, conference materials, direct mail, and special projects.
- Manages and provides research on a wide variety of CaringBridge markets, audiences, topics, competitors and initiatives. Provides reports, insights and recommendations resulting from research initiatives.
- Manages the use of monitoring and reporting systems to measure effectiveness of tactics.
- Collaborates with Strategy Managers to ensure the forecasting, planning and delivery of new CaringBridge sites.
- Provides input and support in the development and execution of joint ventures, affiliations and partnerships.
- Collaborates with Strategy Managers to create and delivers key messages that build awareness for mission, programs and achievements of CaringBridge.
- Manages the CaringBridge brand, ensuring clear and consistent communications across all deliverables and communications channels.
- Assists in the generation and maintenance of content/information/copy for the organization and its programs and initiatives, both in print and electronically.
- Assists with media relations as needed, providing support and project management as it relates to counsel, messaging, and seeking story opportunities.
- Stays current on market, competition, and trends including analyzing current marketing tactics, concepts, practices and procedures.
- Establishes, sustains and oversees productive relationships with external vendors and contacts to result in favorable networks to support the current and future goals of the organization and to benchmark practices/results to maximize organizational effectiveness.
- Provides fiscal support for the department by providing input for the departmental budget and manages within budget parameters to ensure financial benchmarks are met and proactive course correction is taken when necessary.
- Manages support personnel as it relates to all projects or related work, establishes performance requirements, clarifies responsibilities of those supervised, conducts performance appraisals and plans for individual employee improvement.
- Keeps manager informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates/communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
- Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in marketing or position of similar responsibilities.
- 3-5 years of management experience.
- 3-5 years of interactive marketing preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of CSS, Html, XHtml, PHP, SEO and web standards, Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator. Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Strong self-starter with a record of success.
- Strong collaboration and teambuilding skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent understanding of the diverse needs of internet users.
- Ability to cope with the rapid pace and constant change associated with the industry.
- Ability to successfully manage numerous projects simultaneously.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with personnel and outside contacts.
